ESUNA: Health and Fitness Center
This project followed basic guidelines from the 2010 ASID competition project in that it was a facility focusing on the idea of wellness and sustainable materials and building processes. Building shells were not given and was conceived during the design process. Codes were also to be integrated within this project.
My inspiration for this project stemmed from computer chips and their integrated network-like aesthetic. A connected and geometric feel was applied throughout the space to mimic the rigidity of computer chips. Overall, the facility focused on the physical and mental aspects of wellness through a dining area, gym, study classrooms, and activity rooms that would teach classes such as martial arts and dance.
