H’Liana Niehrah was born and raised in Charleston, SC to Vietnamese and Montagnard parents, and is constantly fueled to create by her interests in culture, technology, video games, and traveling. Her greatest skill is being able to quickly learn and adapt; as a result, she loves challenging herself with learning new things, whether it be different software or different languages. She interns with Palmetto Interiors of Charleston, a commercial design firm specializing in clubrooms and model apartments and townhouses. She aims on working with a commercial firm in the future in addition to becoming NCIDQ certified.
The goal of H’Liana’s senior thesis project titled Pangaea is to support women all around the world while furthering multicultural awareness and promoting sustainable design and practices. As a result, Pangaea will serve as a fair trade retail store and art gallery that will display unique, skillfully-crafted products and art pieces made from women artisans all around the world.
