Hello everyone! My name is Liana Niehrah. Nice to meet you.

I’m currently a senior interior design student at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. I plan on graduating magna cum laude next spring with a BFA in interior design and minor in business administration. From there, I intend to achieve my future goals of NCIDQ certification, LEED certification, and a Masters in Interior Design or Architecture.

My love for interior design stems from the high value I place on learning, research, and the design process. I avidly feel that a designer should be well versed in not only the aesthetic nature of design, but also the technical, business-related, and logical aspects of the field. Inspiration for my work stems from everywhere – from nature to virtual worlds in video games and movies.

Besides Interior Design?

Other things I absolutely love (besides the people in my life!) include messing around with computers, playing guitar, and different cultures. I grew up in a somewhat “geeky” family so it’s only natural that I would pick up an interest in computers, technology, and music. As a second generation Asian American, I was blessed enough to be able to have some awesome meals growing up… and that’s how my love for ALL types of foods and cultures grew. Currently, I have received credit for intermediate level Spanish, and I am also literate in Korean and the hiragana and katakana alphabets of Japanese.

Other

Despite being a self-taught amateur, web design and photography are definite hobbies of mine. Always learning, though! I’m also proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

Objectively,

Liana Niehrah.
